Crime Alert - Home Invasion in Bellgrade - February 15th 2010
There was a home invasion on Dornock Ct. within the last few hours...in broad daylight. There was no alarm system and no one was home at the time but had just stepped out for a little while. Police suspect that someone was watching the house and therefore could be watching other houses in our neighborhood. Reportedly several flat screen TV's were taken which may mean that the indivual (s) may have been in the home before because they went exactly for the intended marks, tv and computers, and took their time to undo cable connections. Police are looking for a black Mercedes in association with this crime.

PROJECT STAY INFORMED
The Hampton Police Division would like to inform you that your area has experienced two burglaries and three destruction of properties. We would like you to be on the lookout for the following:
INCIDENT #1- Residential Burglary – This offense between 1700 hours on 07/06/09 and 0652 hours on 07/07/09. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking into the victim’s vehicle and using the garage door opener to gain access. The suspect(s) took various items from the residence.
INCIDENT #2 - Residential Burglary – This offense occurred between 1000 hours on 07/26/09 and 1400 hours on 08/02/09. Entry into the residence was by prying open the front door. The suspect(s) took various items from the residence.
INCIDENT #3 – Destruction of Property – These offenses occurred between 2000 hours on 07/09/09 and 0611 hours on 07/15/09. Suspect(s) possibly used a rock to crack or shatter the windshield or window on several vehicles.

Recently 22-24 July 2009, an out-of-state salesperson / crew had been canvassing our area soliciting the sale of home security alarm systems. Please read the following report from the Better Business Bureau before signing any contracts. In addition this individual had been parking on Middle Road in a suspicious manner concealing their rear plates and the car has no front plates. It may or may not be the same company but coincidentally the plates are from "Utah." As described in the BBB report, so is the company that has numerous (hundreds) of complaints and has been reported, fined, and issued "Cease and Desist" orders from several states. Parents & Homeowners - You need to read this! Traveling Sales Crews have been traveling the country for years and are notorious for exploiting young adults and have been known as the "The Silent Killer of Teens, Young Adults and Homeowners." Please keep a vigilant watch and stay informed. There are several websites you can search that have been published on the subject. Recent crime in our neighborhood (Bellgrade): A home was shot at! Bullets were fired into the back of the home and shells were found on the ground. This may have been an isolated incident or could have been some kids goofing around. "GOOFING AROUND?" Please, somebody could have been killed! This crime is currently unresolved. Please report any information you may have to the Police. Sometimes bits of information that you think are just suspicious or not substantial could be pieces of the puzzle or warning signs of existing or worsening crimes about to be committed. "An ounce of prevention in most cases can prevent the actual crimes from occurring."
Middle Road in the area of the woods by the proposed road extension remains a low profile, low light area where suspicious and unwanted things are happening! Please keep an eye out!
